ha - hooked on tailor made clothes!

hey... i got my 1st tailored made coat already :) aiya, haven take photo yet... then i went on to do another pair of pants (till knee level)... collected today... nice! so did another one... and i'm also doing another dress! see pic on left! nice nice ? ha... the seamstress say it suits me cos' have the ribbon on the center band - can help to hide some fats! oh....... it beta turn out nice ! RMB460 !! :s but then again the pants is cheaper, only RMB130 ! soon i should start to make some skirts.....

just came back from ben' s place (with shan n her gang of friends) .. supposed to be potluck but i just knew yesterday so end up only buying kiwis..... n ben can realie cook !

i must go home n make daddy share all his recipes !!! haa

oh ya, shan was telling me that the water here can't be drank even after boiling it! sure anot ??? i've been doing that .... or maybe i should start to buy some distilled h20 & mix abit ?

TV is now showing 十兄弟。。。 哈哈... n my silly dvd is still spoilt... no color, only black n white!

ok gona watch tv then sleeps liao.... tomolo i report 7am at pudong :s actually wana go at 9am for the later batch... but think beta place safe, go earlier then at least i can have a peace of mind..

i keep mixing up the email and password, haha. forgot which one has the 'n'.

peter pan is really a good boss, for the presentation tomorrow, i worked on the whole deck and mainly talked to another guy david on this. peter pan wasn't very much involved. and yesterday, when i asked david who was presenting, he asked whether i can present some parts of it. i took it up, of cos.
when peter pan knew, he came over to talk to me and asked whether i was comfortable in presenting. i said ok, no prob.
so today we had a dry run-through and everything was ok. so i think tomorrow's gonna be fine!
have been working on this the past few weekends. so tis weekend can finally relax! going xmas shopping with yuling, and having 1st jap class.

these past two nights have been much better, 'cos i slept with ear plugs from the f1 race, haha. wun reminded me, cos fat fat also snores.
it's actually nice to go home and wake up to the nieces, as long as they don't CRY!

sick

my bro's family moved in already.
and my 2nd niece has fallen sick again. they got a new maid who is really quite off. don't really understand english, and she cooked the porridge for mei mei (the 2nd niece), not fully cooked, that's why mei mei had indigestion and had been vomitting for 3 days already. went to hospital to see doc yesterday but last night still vomitting.
so i also haven't been sleeping well for the past 2 nights, cos she kept crying and i would wake up.
and last night my daddy snored! i woke up almost every hr, am sooooooooo tired now. just now on the way to work, felt so sick, broke out in cold sweat, stomach queasy, LS, came in vomitted a few times also. now waiting for clinic downstairs to open at 9am.
last mon already went on mc, and yest was PH so no work. very paiseh to go on mc again, but really feel tired :(((

i hope tonight can get good sleep man...otherwise i duno wat to do.

每晚吹冷风！

the title speaks for itself !! yes - have been in the cold wind for the past few days. we are doing the shangai world financial center lighting displays... so have been onsite after work for the past 2 days till close to midnight! sky turns dark as early as 530pm! so by the time it's 7pm, the sky is already soooo dark that i tot its past 10pm! faint ah, once i step out of my building each morning, my first tot is 'shit, i wore too little again!' brrrrrrr........ but my colleages are also telling me not to wear too much too soon else i sure cannot tahan thru the cold winter!

spoke to boss today - yeah, i can come back for the whole week! after x'mas till new year! how how, u wana go somewhere? or where can we go for CNY?? heeeeeee :)

i just got back home - dinner was Macs delivery! i must say the delivery is so efficient. i called when i left on the cab at pudong, took 20min to get home and the delivery was waiting for me at the door step :) i know its sinful for late dinner! but in SG at least i can sleep in hunger in warmth... but here i can't, cos i'll be cold & hungry ........ ahhhh !

well, boss brought me around to the many offices already. initially i was kinda sian that the kinda event we do is not gona be that big scale like those i did before, cos the team is fairly new. but then again i sort of expected this b4 i came. so the good thing is, i can start to implement things i know to help to build the system..... it's as simple as the little logistics like the stationary box & brother machine (oh, we sure need this to do the name badge for walk-in registrations...)

but the good thing is - i've got good opportunities to be doing a wider range of stuff.. lighting effects for SWFC - i love this kind! cos i like to work with lighting designers and explore all these lighting equipment!!! and also chances to do interior design related stuff as well........

i realie need more clothes! more long sleeves ... ... my god, when i look at my wardrobe, i can even feel cold - cos i can't expect myself to be wearing my current selection to brave the cold! haaa
yeah, gona get my tailored coat this saturday! i will shashay n take pics to show u ok !

watching the 45th anniversary show, haha quite funny.
they really replicated alot of the famous characters like aiyoyo, bobo, yan fei, lobang king, ah shui etc. and the famous variety shows and emcees like 缤纷八三，城人杂志
alot of memories sia..
of cos they did a small remembering wang sha, ye feng, hua liang and mc king segment.
then jack neo did liang po po again..exactly as how it was 15 years ago! so funny.

3. http://www.karencheng.com.au/ - tis lady is totally famous in the blogsphere. she lives in perth with her hubby and her 2 boys. if there's one reason to read the blog, it's really for the 2 boys, sean and callum. super cute! karen's very inspiring, and she's now expecting her third kid (they want a girl) after going for IVF.

ok, the rest's are pretty hardcore fashion stuff that i read when i have the whole weekend to myself like this one :)

i bought my very first pair of leggings today! bought quite a no. of dresses from bkk that's slightly too short to be decent, so decided to get the leggings ;)

wun and i had dinner today at munch. ha, yes again. then we wanted to look for a coffee place around tanjong pagar/raffles place area to study but all close at 8-9pm, argh. guess where we went in the end? we called linsey, knowing that she should still be in the office and went back to nielsen! my first time there after leaving 7 mths ago, but can't say i miss the place though.

attending peiqi's wedding tomorrow, no new dress to wear, so gonna wear the dress from far east.

waiting for 12am to catch the repeat of the 9pm show..i watched 3 eps, it's actually rather nice! meng jia hui also in it..you know...the madam. she acting as policewoman in tis show as well.

i'm really spoilt. my maid's away for 2 weeks right, i haven't been repeating my clothes for 3 weeks cos i don't want to iron the clothes, haha. she has alot to iron when she gets back next tue.

ok, going to study some more, ta!

i slept very early last night, went to bed at 10pm, haha.
am now eating breakfast, hope don't miss the 750am express bus. the bus really quite good, will reach shenton way at 830am, so when i get into office still very empty, but peter pan would be there already.

have been eating lunch alone quite often, 'cos im with the regional team right, all ang moh guys, and they also don't really go out and eat together. as for the local team, i don't know them very well, know a few, and have tried to ask them out for lunch before but they quite busy and usually da-bao, so i gave up asking also. but it's ok. i pop opposite to international plaza (ip) to eat killney (they sell other stuff, not just bread) or mee siam. the newbies in the company are supposed to organise the xmas party (so last min!) but it would be a good opportunity for me to know more people!

other than that, the people dress very casually which is good and not. very different from stb - the girls always dress to kill, haha. but i am trying to establish my dressing style in the company - can be casual but sometimes also dress up.

on real work proper, my boss involves me in high-level meetings and discussions but i need to learn to think quckly and speak up. really need to read more and broaden my knowledge.

ok, gotta go, otherwise miss the bus. ta!

i wanted to sleep earlier tonight - but after all the packing here & there, again its past midnight :p

well well, i paid my rental & got my keys already, YEAH ! checked the apartment again to make sure all's well. then i realised there is no DVD player - but heng heng lo, the gas stove was down so we called the owner.. and the owner mentioned that there's a DVD next door (vacant) and ask if i needed one - OF COS !! haa :) so another freebie!

realie realie need to go IKEA - but first things first, priority is bed sheets + pillow + quilt cover! all others can wait .. *p/s i need to collect enough 发票to claim for allowances to easer my cashflow... ARGH, this is the painful thing here... and they do not accept makan receipts...

Alright, first consolation of the day - i caught my bus ! Bus is supposed to leave at 7.40am but left at 7.30am! lucky i was early :s and it will reach my 'new' bus-stop at 8am

so here's a sleepy me look at 7.30am ! and me being me, simply concussed within the 5 min once i passed my 'new' bus-stop (cos i need to synchronise my watch ma.. haa)

so here's my new place ... 上海市徐家汇区凯旋路3188弄2号2502室. Checked out the surroundings again, there's a supermarket & '7-11' right beside the apartment. Good - then I can buy fresh food to cook! And that area has plentiful of furniture shops and alot more of interior design stores doing mainly kitchens lo ! LOL

so its 5 min walk to the bus-pick up point (bus actually turns to my apartment b4 reaching the bus-stop, so i will make friend with driver lo!! haa)

5 min to Stadium MTR which links me to the Stadium side and that area has yummy stuff! and from this station i am 2 stops away from Shanz and also the city central..

Boss brought us out for lunch - 南翔小笼包 - the authentic one! cos 南翔 is actually the little town within my office area ! so how ulu isit !!

quite a fair bit of discussion today - realise my boss EQ seems a lil low. How should i put it, he's kinda harmless, but somehow just not tactful. So my colleagues will turn to me and show me the 翻白眼look cos they are quite displeased with boss. seems like i have to play quite some middleman here - he's looking me as his sort of anchor point. and i have to pull the team together. but not when he's not giving me the resources.. (yes, my colleague is using her own laptop!) humpH ! how how how ??

so i'm reminding myself not to comment too much yet - i believe that my boss is certainly capable is certain ways. so i must find his good points and learn from him. and when i slowly know him better than can probably share more of view on the overall team management to him.

honest to say, the environment itself is kinda demoralising. lok kok - dirty - messy. ok, tomorrow must take photo to show you. oh yes, not to forget my 2nd consolation of the day, got a new keyboard - nice n clean :) and also changed the phone (packed my wet tissue in my bag so that i can give it a good wipe b4 i continue to put it near my face)! **i kena 1 pimple leh!! between my cheekbone & upper nose bridge DAMNED **

i realie hope that the reno works for the office can start soon - well, if its such an unbearable working environment, how would you expect people to piah for u ah???

hoping to hear from him abt the business directions of the team - cos it's seems like he's ambitious to want to do anything & everything. FAINT!

no worries, i am still ok for now. will definitely find my way to fit in... and find even more ways to contribute and let him realise that he make a GOOD decision in hiring me !

the grand plan

have been thinking of this for some time. i want to take a 3-6 months' break from work and go travelling. i think we quite dui bu qi ourselves 'cos we did not go on a proper grand tour (u lagi worse, started work so soon!).

planning to do this when i am 30, which is in 3 years' time. like the big 3-0 kind of relevation, treat for myself. game? hopefully by then we have our other halves and then they can come at some point to join us la.

do a big usa tour or preferably europe - greece, spain and switzerland are definite must-gos on my list.

and then of 'cos some diving (or alot of diving)..time to see our molas, sharks!

think we need about $15K at least? every year save $5K! haha

apart from the apartment viewing - yeah there was party, shopping (only some stockings from H&M la) and some catch up here n there...

my housemate, wendy, she's nice - n we sort of connect cos there are just too many common friends! she knows shaoqing (remember this name?!) - he's hall 2 & from NBS. shaoqing knows ben. ben knows shan. n biru had dinner with ben & shan ...... small small world :)

i have been walking so much for the past 2 days - oh n i found this bakery 85C. CREAM PUFF IS SHIOK-A-NEH-NEH like anything lor ! ok, dun make u drool... enjoying the cool air - lucky not exactly that cold yet !

slowly sinking in that, yes i gona be here for quite some time...

oh ya, anyway was talking to shan abt bringing u over! yah - find out opportunities for u here! pst: media edge got office in SH. no worries, i know it wun be that soon afterall u just started there. though i remember u prefer to work in places like phuket..... but with me as the pulling force, i'm kinda confident !

i just realise - i'm always the one going away, leaving you in SG... ... :( this reminds me - each time u go on holiday, i have to remind myself, 'oh cannot jio baoyu, cos she's not around'... i always think that in scenario like this , the person staying on is alway having a harder time -- ha! u will prove me wrong, cos u will continue to live life to its fullest!

niteZ! tomolo 1st day of work - JIA YOU !!

biru's new apartment

it's after viewing 6 units & i just decided on this !
remember i wanted to keep it to a budget for RMB4K, but realise that's highly unlikely for this area. there were the lower range ones - but! the furnishings were lousy... n last night i saw one at RMB4,5K, 1-room but only abt 70m2. BUT - its on level 5 & need to climb staircase one lor... 15min walk from bus pick up point :( i can't imagine tat u have to lug luggage up my apartment! so no go......

so this is going at RMB4.6k, previous tenant is SG gal too :) the house is realie neat & comfortable.

n realie, when the agent pressed '25' i was like ...... 'ooooooooooooooooooooo..... got chance'
and when it open the door, tadaaaaa !!

Though a one-room apartment, the living + dining room is HUGE ! total is 89m2 (bigger than shan's ! ha, she also say its a great catch!) check out the sofa... HUGE RIGHT ! i dun mind sleeping in living room lor .. there's balcony for hanging the clothes as well..
warm lighting, realie cool and many many shelvings








then the kitchen, quite spacious ! fully furnished, fridge + microwave etc... OVEN TOO ! i gona start some cooking ...

here's the view from Level 25 - its getting grey, cos its winter. i like it - cos i can see 'far far away'

i needa sign the contract soon, hopefully on tuesday + pay 3mths rent first (ouch!) then gona do some shopping @ IKEA. hope to start filling in from friday ...

i like the idea of owning a place - and start to personalise it with all sorts! oh man, how nice! reminds me of good old hostel days wor ...

I was clearing my drawers just now and looked into the chest of cards again. Looked at some (no time to browse all) and realised that we used to call each other lao gong and lao po back in sec 2. haha funny.

and then saw postcard u sent me when u went australia...u mentioned in the postcard u were with ur cousins, when was this trip? u went australia many times ya? and another postcard when u went chiangmai (the little naked boy).
